Services We Provide Care For

Asthma

Asthma is a chronic condition that occurs when inflammation of the airways causes them to narrow, restricting airflow in and out of the lungs. The attacks often include wheezing, chest tightness, coughing and shortness of breath. They may last minutes or days, and can be dangerous if the airflow becomes severely restricted. Our pulmonologists help you identify asthma triggers and provide the resources you need to manage attacks, as well as hands on care if the attacks become severe.

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the airways that is usually caused by infection. It may be short-lived (acute) or chronic. Acute bronchitis often follows a viral respiratory infection, such as a cold or flu. Typical bronchitis symptoms are a cough that produces mucus, wheezing, shortness of breath, fatigue, and mild fever. It is important to seek medical attention if you suspect you have bronchitis so that we can provide appropriate care before it leads to pneumonia or other more serious condition.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

COPD is a group of lung diseases involving airway inflammation, lung tissue damage, and limited airflow, such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Cigarette smoking is the most common cause of COPD, although long-term exposure to as dust, chemicals, and pollution, may also cause or contribute to it. COPD occurs when the tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs become partly obstructed, making it difficult to breathe. The key to managing this condition is quality treatment and avoiding triggers that can worsen it. Our pulmonologists are experts at diagnosing and managing COPD and are here to help you.

Emphysema

Emphysema is a form of COPD and involves damage to the air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs. The air sacs lose elasticity and are unable to completely deflate, which prevents them from filling with fresh air to adequately supply oxygen to the body. Our pulmonologists deliver expert care for this condition, including ongoing monitoring of your status to adjust the treatment plan as needed.

Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)

Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a broad term that includes a long list of chronic lung disorders. Symptoms will vary depending on the specific type of ILD common ones are breathlessness and a dry cough. ILD is usually a progressive condition that begins with inflammation of the deep lung tissues and eventually results in scarring of the air sacs. This process interferes with normal breathing and can make it difficult to perform routine activities. Our pulmonologists can help you manage this condition and will track its progression, assuring you receive the best care during every stage of the disease.

Occupational Lung Disease

Occupation lung disease is caused by exposure to irritating or toxic substances in the work environment. These substances may trigger acute or chronic respiratory problems with a severe single exposure or more commonly due to prolonged or repeated exposure. We understand the causes of this disease and will use the latest diagnostic and treatment options to provide the best possible care.

Sleep Disorders

Our pulmonologists diagnosis and treat a variety of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea or sleep-disordered breathing. We provide diagnostic and treatment services through our sleep clinic.
