As Colquitt Regional Medical Center continues to provide key health services during COVID-19, including all essential surgeries and preventative screening procedures, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our patients and staff.
Safe surgeries during COVID-19
As is true throughout the hospital, several important safety measures have been implemented regarding all surgical services:
- Colquitt Regional continues to adhere to its COVID-19 policies regarding front door screenings, separate entry/exits for surgical patients, and full PPE.
- Colquitt Regional is testing all surgical patients prior to their procedure to ensure the safety of our other patients and staff.
Patient education plays a key role
Patient education and a constant flow of updated information are more important than ever to help determine when to schedule surgeries, some of which may have been postponed due to COVID-19. Hospital safety policies, the risks and benefits of any particular procedure, and current local statistics regarding COVID-19 are all part of our patient education process. However, each patient, along with their health providers and family, are encouraged on a personal level to consider when it feels safe to schedule their procedure. Every situation is unique.
When you’re ready, we’re here!
Now the bottom line is this: you and your provider know what’s best for your health situation, and Colquitt Regional Medical Center is here to help. When you need us, and when you’re ready, we are too. In the meantime, we remain committed to doing everything possible to provide the safe and responsible care this community deserves.
