MOULTRIE, Ga. – Sterling Physician Group recently announced the addition of four new providers to its medical staff.
Chad Klar, M.D., recently started as an emergency medicine physician at Colquitt Regional. Klar received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Georgia, then earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
He went on to complete his residency in emergency medicine at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina. Klar is the grandson of Moultrie residents Mr. and Mrs. Charles “Henry” Klar, III. Klar, his wife Haley, and their son moved to Moultrie over the summer.
Cory Porteus, D.O., began providing care in cytopathology/pathology at Colquitt Regional on August 1. Porteus completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Tampa. He then went on to earn his Master of Science degree from the University of South Florida.
Porteus received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, followed by a residency in pathology and a fellowship in cytopathology at the University of South Florida. He and his wife Krysta recently relocated to Moultrie with their two children.
Wenhui “William” Zhu, M.D., Ph.D., joined the Edwards Cancer Center on August 1, providing care in oncology and hematology. Zhu obtained his doctorate at Hong Kong University and then attended medical school at Hunan Medical University in China.
Zhu then carried out his internal medicine residency at Norwalk Hospital – Yale University in Norwalk, Connecticut. Following his residency, Zhu completed a hematology fellowship at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and an oncology fellowship at The National Cancer Institute, both located in Bethesda, Maryland.
Zhu comes to Moultrie from the Seidman Cancer Center of the University Hospitals Southwest in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Zhu and wife Li Zhang recently relocated to Moultrie. They have two adult children.
Anthony B. Davis, Sr., PA-C, M.M.S., recently joined the staff at Sterling Center Urology as a physician assistant. Davis attended Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology/chemistry.
Davis then attended the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, where he participated in the physician assistant program. He has two adult children.

In addition to these providers, Jessica Brumfield Mitchum, D.O., and Michael Magat, D.O., both recent graduates of the Georgia South Family Medicine Residency Program, have accepted positions within the Colquitt Regional medical staff. Mitchum has joined the faculty at Georgia South, and Magat will be practicing as a hospitalist.
