COVID-19 VISITATION POLICY

The COVID-19 Pandemic is constantly evolving. This page reflects the latest Visitation Policy for Colquitt Regional. We understand the frustration and concern that many may experience when not being able to visit a loved one in the hospital. Please understand that these guidelines are necessary to protect our patients, our visitors and our employees. There are exceptions to these policies for end-of-life patients. Please check this page prior to visiting any hospital patient as these requirements are subject to change.

Please see the below updated visitor policy effective 8/13/2021.

  •  All Patients/Visitors/Employees will be SCREENED, MASKED and HAND-SANITIZED before entering facility daily.  Masks are required to be worn at all times.
  • Visitors seeking access to inpatient areas must CHECK In/Out at the Visitors Lobby Entrance (west side entrance) to obtain a VISITOR PASS.
    • Non-COVID patients may have only 1 designated visitor to visit during visitation hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm daily.  Visitors may not swap out.
    • COVID-Zone patients are not allowed visitation at this time without special circumstance and Director’s approval.
    • COVID-Zone extended stay (after 10th day) patients may have 1 designated visitor  to visit during 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. per day. Visitors may not swap out.
  • Visitors with respiratory illnesses, and signs of communicable infections and/or exposure should be requested NOT to visit.  Non-vaccinated visitors are encouraged NOT to visit.
  • Children under the age of 18, unless entering for medical care, may NOT be allowed to visit. 
    (At times during the year, there may be no one under the age of 18 permitted.)
  • No plants/flowers/balloons allowed in ICU or COVID Zones.
  • Cafeteria/Grille is closed to the public and all visitors. It is only open to employees/volunteers.

Emergency Department

  • Non-COVID symptom patients may have 1 support person with them at all times.
  • If a minor, the patient will be allowed 1 parent or grandparent or an adult sibling. (This is subject to change at any time based on patient volume.)
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers with support needs.

Outpatient Services (Radiology, Cardiology, Lab, etc)

  • Patient coming in for outpatient services may be accompanied by (1) support person.
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers with support needs.

Same Day Surgery

  • Patient may be accompanied by 1 support person.
  • If a minor, the patient will be allowed parents or (1) grandparent or an adult sibling.
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers with support needs.

Obstetrics

  • Mom may have 1 designated support person 18 years or older during her stay.
  • No siblings may visit at this time.
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers with support needs.

NON-COVID Patient Floors / NON-COVID Intensive Care Unit

  • Patient may have 1 designated visitor to visit during visitation hours of 9:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily.
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers.

COVID ZONES: Patient Floor & Intensive Care Unit

  • Only after an extended stay of 10 days, a patient may have one designated visitor (COVID-19 Vaccination is required) and may only visit during designated visiting hours of 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily.
  • Accommodations will be made for designated care providers with support needs.
