“This leader is a driven individual who does everything from the heart. She cares deeply for her staff, her patients, and the organization she represents.  I have not met a more dedicated person – someone who, with kindness and patience, continues to grow and inspire in every sense of the word.

It has been a pleasure to work with this leader and we are so proud of how she continues to lead and invest into her team – her personal and professional development is a true testimony of her commitment to excellence for herself and for her department and for her hospital as a whole.” shared Sandy Sage, Revenue Cycle Analyst with HomeTown Health as she presented the award.

“Megan has been instrumental in enhancing the pre-service departments at the hospital. She has helped implement the prior authorization process and has improved the pre-service process. These were monumental tasks that Megan took on and succeeded in making them happen. She is also over the Patient Access department and other areas of the revenue cycle.

We have watched Megan grow and take on new roles over the years and we couldn’t be prouder of her now as Revenue Cycle Director. For someone who started in the Dietary department and worked her way up to her current position, it has been a huge accomplishment. She is a well-deserving recipient of this year’s award.”

The annual award is given out to a dedicated leader from within the HomeTown Health network of rural hospitals within the state of Georgia who serves in a leadership position within hospital revenue cycle /business office teams. The award is based on considerations of outstanding leadership in sharing best practices in the business office, commitment to excellence, to employee education, and revenue cycle improvement.

Megan has been part of the Colquitt Regional team for 20 years and has served as Director of Revenue Cycle since 2023. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to advancing the hospital’s financial operations while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and staff development.

“Our entire organization is incredibly proud of Megan and this well-deserved recognition,” said Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney. “Her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to excellence exemplify the very best of Colquitt Regional. She has not only strengthened our revenue cycle processes but has also built a culture of teamwork and integrity that benefits our patients and staff every day.”

“Behind every successful health system are leaders like Megan, who ensure that operations run efficiently and with compassion,” said Colquitt County Hospital Authority Chairman John Griffin. “Her dedication and integrity are felt throughout the organization, and this recognition is a reflection of the tremendous impact she’s made.”

“Megan’s leadership and insight have been instrumental in driving the financial success and operational excellence of Colquitt Regional Health System,” said Colquitt Regional Vice President and CFO Julie Bhavnani. “Her ability to balance financial performance with patient-centered values makes her a true asset to our organization.”

Megan’s achievement is a testament to her dedication, leadership, and passion for excellence. Her recognition as Revenue Cycle Leader of the Year reflects not only her individual accomplishments but also Colquitt Regional Health System’s commitment to fostering strong, mission-driven leaders.
