Georgia South Is Making Exceptional Changes

Georgia South Family Medicine Residency is proud to announce a shuffling of the line up. We at Georgia South had the great pleasure to work with Cathy Beasley until her retirement in February.

Mandy Clements has moved into the role of Graduate Medical Education Quality and Compliance Administrator, and will be assisting the program in maintaining its accreditation. Mandy has been instrumental in guiding Georgia South clinic to its new location, and in the incredible growth and success this past year in the clinic. She will enhance her role under the residency, supporting and overseeing future development and ensuring compliance with the many residency requirements

Brooke Lowry has been promoted to the role of Georgia South Office Manager. Brooke is a LPN and started with Georgia South at its inception in 2016. She was moved to Charge Nurse in 2017, and has been an exemplary employee, providing exceptional care to Georgia South patients, helping create an interprofessional learning environment for the residents and students, and handling her administrative duties to the clinic. Brooke was awarded the Employee of the Month for Colquitt Regional Medical Center in March 2018, and continues to be celebrated by the Georgia South team for her many successes.

New to the Georgia South team is Rae Danforth. Rae will take on the role of Program Coordinator, working with the Program Director, Faculty and Residents to make sure the residency operations run smoothly and effectively. Rae joins Georgia South from the Human Resource department where she’s been involved with recruitment, networking events and onboarding of new employees. Rae has been employed with Colquitt Regional since September 2017, and we are excited to add her to our team.

Georgia South is nearing graduation of our first class of Family physicians, June 2019, and each of these individuals will play an intricate role in reaching this exciting milestone for the residency program, Colquitt County, and all of South Georgia.
