During various rotations, the residents provide care to a broad spectrum of patients throughout the hospital.
Continuity Clinic
Throughout the residents’ three years they are required to see patients at Georgia South Family Medicine to meet the ACGME Continuity Clinic requirement. In PGY-1 residents begin their training by completing one clinic half day while progressing each year. Residents have many opportunities to perform procedures including joint injections, excisional biopsies, and many others. Residents also may choose to do a procedure elective.
Community Medicine
The community medicine curriculum includes opportunities for our residents to provide prenatal care to an underserved population of OB patients at Ellenton clinic.
