Colquitt Regional Health System is proud to announce the addition of twelve new physicians who have joined its medical staff over the past year, further expanding access to specialty and hospital-based care for patients throughout South Georgia and North Florida.

MOULTRIE, GA — A special celebration was recently held to welcome these physicians and recognize the valuable expertise they bring to Colquitt Regional and the communities it serves.

“We are excited to welcome this outstanding group of physicians to Colquitt Regional and our community,” said Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney. “Each physician brings unique expertise and a strong dedication to patient care. These additions to our medical staff strengthen our ability to provide comprehensive, high-quality care for our patients, community, and region.”

Colquitt Regional has welcomed several new hospitalists to its medical staff, including Michael Saiyasombat, MD; Catherine Cravey, MD; Shelby Flowers, DO; and Tre’Cherie Crumbs, MD. Hospitalists play an important role in providing care to patients throughout their hospital stay, working closely with other members of the care team to ensure continuity and coordination of care.

The health system has also expanded its emergency medicine team with the addition of Israel Wootton, MD, and Garrett Cook, MD. As part of the Emergency Department team, Wootton and Cook provide care for patients experiencing illnesses and injuries requiring immediate medical attention.

In anesthesiology and critical care, Colquitt Regional welcomed Marcus Walton, MD. His expertise supports patients requiring anesthesia services as well as those needing critical care during their hospital stay.

The health system also welcomed Makena Shields, DO, to Sterling Center Women’s Health, where she provides obstetric and gynecologic care for women at every stage of life. Shields joins Colquitt Regional’s growing team of women’s health providers.

Sterling Group Psychiatry welcomed Anthony Cimmino, MD, which will continue the health system’s efforts in expanding access to behavioral health services for patients in the community.

Colquitt Regional also expanded its services in pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation with the addition of Royce Copeland, DO, at Sterling Group Pain Management. He will be helping patients manage pain, improve mobility and restore physical function through non-surgical approaches.

In family medicine, Christian Edwards, DO, recently opened Sterling Group Adult & Pediatric Medicine, providing comprehensive care for patients from newborns and children through adulthood and older age. The practice offers preventive and chronic care alongside a variety of in-office services for patients and families.

The health system also welcomed Stefan Sicinschi, MD, to its cardiology team. Dr. Sicinschi provides cardiovascular care to patients at Colquitt Regional through the hospital’s partnership with Cardiovascular Consultants of South Georgia, LLC, further strengthening the hospital’s ability to care for patients with heart and vascular conditions.

The addition of these physicians reflects Colquitt Regional’s continued investment in expanding access to medical and specialty care while strengthening its medical staff.

“Our mission is to bring physicians to our health system who combine clinical expertise with compassion,” said Colquitt County Hospital Authority Chairman John Griffin. “We are proud to welcome these physicians to the Colquitt Regional family and look forward to the difference they will make for our patients and our community.”
