The da Vinci 5® is significantly more powerful than earlier models—boasting more than 10,000 times the computing capacity of its predecessor, the da Vinci Xi. It was developed by Intuitive, the global leader in robotic-assisted surgery, and includes more than 150 improvements designed to enhance both the surgeon’s experience and patient outcomes.
Some of the most exciting advancements include sharper 3D images with lifelike color, a feature called Force Feedback that further improves surgical accuracy during delicate procedures, and a more ergonomic design that makes long surgeries more comfortable for the surgeon and even more precise for the patient.

This upgrade also enhances Colquitt Regional’s growing role in medical education. A dedicated training console allows surgical residents to operate alongside attending surgeons during procedures.
