MOULTRIE, GA —Renasant Bank was among the Georgia taxpayers who chose to redirect a portion of their state income tax liability to benefit Colquitt Regional through the Georgia HEART program. The check was presented to Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney by Renasant Bank Market President Chad Carpenter.
“We are fortunate to have community partners like Renasant Bank who recognize the importance of investing in rural healthcare,” said Matney. “This generous contribution through the Georgia HEART program will help Colquitt Regional continue to strengthen the services, technology, and resources available to our patients. We are grateful for Renasant Bank’s continued commitment to our community and to the future of healthcare in South Georgia.”
The Georgia HEART program, established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2016, allows eligible Georgia taxpayers to receive a state income tax credit for contributions made to qualifying rural hospitals. The program was created to strengthen rural healthcare and provide hospitals with additional resources to support essential healthcare services and capital needs.

Through the Georgia HEART program, Colquitt Regional has been able to make significant investments in healthcare services, technology, facilities, and other capital projects that have strengthened access to care throughout the region.
