MOULTRIE, GA —The state-of-the-art microscope provides high-definition visualization that enhances both patient care and education. The integrated video system allows providers to photograph clinical findings, record procedures, and display a live view during examinations, helping patients better understand their diagnosis and treatment plan.
The technology is used during a variety of ear, nose, and throat procedures, including diagnostic laryngoscopies, nasal endoscopies, ear tube placement, cerumen removal, and the evaluation and treatment of ear infections and other ear conditions. Enhanced visualization allows providers to examine anatomy with greater precision, supporting more accurate diagnoses and treatment decisions.
“At Colquitt Regional and Sterling Physician Group, we are committed to investing in advanced technology that enhances the quality of care we provide,” said Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney. “The addition of this microscope reflects our commitment to bringing innovative specialty services to South Georgia, expanding access to exceptional care for patients across the area. Investments like these allow our providers to deliver an even higher level of precision while helping ensure Colquitt Regional remains the first choice for patients throughout the region.”
The advanced imaging capabilities allow patients to view real-time images during their visit, creating opportunities for providers to explain findings, discuss treatment options, and improve communication throughout the diagnostic process.
“This technology is a tremendous asset for both of us as providers and our patients,” said Sterling Group Ear, Nose & Throat Otolaryngologist Scott Daly, MD. “The enhanced visualization allows us to better evaluate conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat while the integrated video system gives patients the opportunity to see exactly what we’re seeing. That level of understanding helps patients feel more informed and confident in their care.”
Sterling Group Ear, Nose & Throat also continues to expand access to specialty care with the recent addition of Jordan Sparks, PA-C, who joined the practice earlier this year. Sparks sees patients alongside Daly at the clinic’s location at 3007 2nd Street SE in Moultrie, further increasing access to ENT services for patients throughout the region.
“Investments in advanced technology continue to strengthen the care available within our health system and throughout our region,” said Hospital Authority Chairman John Griffin. “We’re proud to support innovations like this that improve the patient experience and allow us to continue delivering exceptional healthcare for the communities we serve.”
