Plastic Surgery

Reconstructive Surgery
Reconstructive surgery is performed to restore function and normal appearance and to correct physical deformities caused by birth defects, trauma or medical conditions including cancer. Examples include breast reconstruction following a lumpectomy or mastectomy for breast cancer, wound restoration and trauma reconstruction, pediatric reconstruction due to congenital anomalies, scar revision, skin cancer treatment and reconstructive surgery after burn injuries.
