Colquitt Regional Health System is proud to announce the addition of six new physicians who have joined its medical staff throughout 2025, further expanding access to high-quality specialty and hospital-based care for the community.

MOULTRIE, Ga. – A special celebration was recently held to welcome these physicians and recognize the valuable expertise they bring to patients and families across South Georgia.

“We are excited to welcome this exceptional group of physicians to our hospital and community,” said Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney. “Each brings unique expertise and a strong dedication to patient care, which will greatly benefit the patients we serve.”

Shelby Jones, MD, joined Sterling Group Internal Medicine in January 2025 as a board-certified internist. Jones is a Thomasville, Georgia native and earned her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Hunter Collins, MD, joined Sterling Group Neurology in March 2025. Collins earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. James School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, followed by a neurology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he served as chief resident. Collins then completed a fellowship in epilepsy at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Robert Stark, MD, FACOG, joined Sterling Center Women’s Health as a board-certified OB/GYN in April 2025. Stark earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College and completed his internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Stark brings 30+ years of training and experience in women’s health.

Samantha Leggio, DO, is the newest addition to Sterling Center Women’s Health, joining the team in September 2025. Leggio earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia Campus. She went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Richmond University Medical Center.

Garrett Cook, MD, joined the Emergency Medicine team at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Oct. 1. Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then earned both his Master of Public Health and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Cook completed his emergency medicine internship and residency at Henry Ford Providence Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in acute care and emergency response.

Tre’Cherie Crumbs, MD, will join Colquitt Regional as a hospitalist in November. Crumbs earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Georgia. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. Crumbs completed her residency in internal medicine at the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University School of Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
