Helping you move

with comfort and confidence.

Rheumatology focuses on diagnosing and treating autoimmune and inflammatory conditions that affect your joints, muscles and connective tissues. These chronic conditions can significantly impact quality of life, mobility and independence, but with the right care, many patients can manage symptoms and continue doing the things they love.
At Colquitt Regional, our rheumatology team provides compassionate, personalized care to help patients find relief from pain, stiffness and fatigue. We take the time to listen to your symptoms, understand how they affect your daily life and develop a treatment plan that supports your long-term health and well-being.

Conditions and Services

Conditions

Our respiratory care team treats both acute and chronic conditions affecting the lungs and airways, including:

  • Immune-mediated disorders of the musculoskeletal system
  • Soft tissues
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Vasculitides
  • Inherited connective tissue disorders

Services

Through detailed physical exams, blood tests and imaging studies (such as X-rays or ultrasounds), we identify the underlying cause of joint pain, stiffness or systemic symptoms. Early and accurate diagnosis is key to preventing long-term damage.

Many rheumatic conditions are immune-mediated, meaning the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues. Our team specializes in managing these complex diseases with a combination of medications and lifestyle interventions.

We prescribe and monitor advanced medications, including biologics and disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) to help reduce inflammation, prevent joint damage and control overactive immune responses.

For targeted relief of inflammation or pain, we offer in-office procedures such as corticosteroid injections. These treatments can help improve joint mobility and reduce symptoms.

Because most rheumatic conditions are long-term, our team provides ongoing care to monitor disease activity, adjust treatments and address flare-ups before they escalate.

We coordinate with your primary care provider, physical therapists and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to your health. Education and lifestyle guidance are also integrated into your care plan to support long-term wellness.
