Colquitt Regional is committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate healthcare while serving as a leader in workforce development. As our community continues to grow, so do the demands on our health system. Today, we face consistently high patient census, limited availability of private patient rooms, and capacity constraints in surgical services. In addition, a rising number of births is driving the need for expanded labor and delivery services.
In response, Colquitt Regional launched the $15 million Reaching New Heights capital campaign in 2025. This transformational initiative will expand the hospital with the addition of a four-story, state-of-the-art medical patient tower designed to enhance critical services, including maternal infant care, surgical services, and intensive care. The new tower will increase our capacity from 99 beds to as many as 155 beds over time. Groundbreaking is planned for 2026, with completion of the first and second floors anticipated by 2029.

Hufstetler Tower
The new medical patient tower will be named Hufstetler Tower in honor of Teresa and Steve Hufstetler, whose generous lead gift helped launch the campaign and set this transformative project in motion.
