WE’RE YOUR SOURCE FOR NUTRITIONAL CARE AND EDUCATION

The registered dietitians and dietary staff at Colquitt Regional Medical Center strive to provide the best nutritional care available to inpatients, outpatients, rehabilitation, oncology and home care patients. Medical Nutrition Therapy available for these patients includes nutritional screenings, nutritional assessments and education. Our dietetics professionals work with the hospital staff in promoting wellness and recovery by incorporating appropriate nutritional care into the patients’ total treatment and care plan.

MEAL SERVICE

Colquitt Regional Medical Center’s dietary staff provides nutritious meals for hospital employees and visitors through its cafeteria and can also provide meals for individuals who are following restricted or therapeutic diets during the following hours:

CAFETERIA

Breakfast:
Monday – Sunday
7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Lunch:

Monday – Friday
11: 30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Sunday
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Dinner:

Monday – Friday
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

GRILLE

Monday – Friday
11:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

NUTRITIONAL SCREEN / ASSESSMENTS

All inpatients are screened for nutritional problems on admission. If needed, an individual plan of care will be developed, and a complete assessment will be done. A nutritional assessment for any Colquitt Regional Medical Center patient can be ordered by the physician or requested by a staff member at any time. There is no charge to the patient for nutritional assessment.

INPATIENT EDUCATION

All disciplines work together to educate patients on prescribed diets during their hospital stay. Physicians may order in-depth education for any diet a patient will need to follow at home. There is a charge for inpatient education.

OUTPATIENT EDUCATION

Dietary education is available on written prescription from the physician. Patients may be scheduled for individual diet counseling or group classes by calling 890-3441 to schedule an appointment. Most counseling sessions take 30 minutes to 1 hour. There is a charge for outpatient education.

OTHER SERVICES

Education and assessment services are available on request for rehab services, wound clinic, and oncology.
