Sleep Studies

It is estimated that one out of three Americans has a sleep disorder which makes life miserable whether that person is awake or asleep. Many suffer needlessly simply because they are unaware that problems exist. The Sleep Diagnostic Lab at Colquitt Regional, offers diagnostic testing of sleep/wake disorders on an outpatient basis. Patients referred to the Sleep Diagnostics Lab are monitored by a team of specially trained individuals using state-of-the-art diagnostic medical equipment.


This simple test is designed to alert you to any problem resulting from a sleep disorder. If you have experienced any of the following symptoms check the line beside each statement.

If you marked three or more lines, you show symptoms of SLEEP APNEA, a life threatening disorder which causes you to stop breathing repeatedly during your sleep.

If you marked three or more lines, you show symptoms of NARCOLEPSY, a lifelong disorder characterized by uncontrollable sleep attacks during the day.

If you marked two or more lines, you show symptoms of NOCTURNAL MYOCLONOUS or RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME, a disorder characterized by pain or “crawling” sensations in the legs or jerking of extremities during sleep.

If you marked two or more lines, you show symptoms of GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX, a disorder caused when acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus during the night.
