Colquitt Regional has expanded our current hospitalists program to include pediatrics!
Pediatric hospital medicine is a medical subspecialty that is dedicated to the delivery of comprehensive medical care to hospitalized pediatric patients by pediatric hospitalists. They are responsible for the day-to-day care of patients, which involves diagnosis, treatment, and necessary
medical procedures while in the hospital.
At Colquitt Regional Medical Center our staff understands that children are not miniature adults. We are committed to providing the best possible family-centered pediatric care in a kids friendly atmosphere that is nurturing and sensitive to the special needs of children and their families, all right here, close to home. We understand that the entire family is impacted when a child is admitted to the hospital and we consider parents/guardians as important partners in providing healing.
One parent or guardian is encouraged to stay with the child at all times. At mealtime, a courtesy meal is provided for the parent/guardian staying with the child and a chair bed is provided for nighttime use. We strive to offer compassionate care to meet the physical, emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs of the children of Colquitt County and surrounding areas.
