Colquitt Regional Senior Care & Rehabilitation’s Joann Sloan Receives Administrator of the Year

Colquitt Regional Senior Care & Rehabilitation administrator Joann Sloan was recently named Administrator of the Year by the by the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) in partnership with the Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA). The award was presented during the Stars in Long Term Care Awards Ceremony at the GHCA Winter Convention & Expo.

“Receiving this award is truly humbling,” said Sloan. “This is a direct reflection of our team and the commitment they put forth daily to provide compassionate, exceptional care to our residents. I share in this success with them. It is a great honor and privilege serving at Colquitt Regional Senior Care & Rehabilitation.”

Presented annually, the Administrator of the Year Award is given to nursing center administrators who demonstrate leadership that is worthy of statewide recognition. Recipients exemplify a deep dedication to enhancing the lives of their residents and serve as the driving force for quality and operational excellence within their center.

“Joann is an exceptional leader and advocate for her staff and residents,” said Colquitt Regional President and CEO Jim Matney. “Having decades of experience in the industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in long term care. She has been a fantastic addition to our team and is absolutely deserving of this award.”

Sloan has worked in long term care since 1972. She first became a licensed administrator in 1982 and has been administrator of her facility since 2004.

Colquitt Regional Senior Care & Rehabilitation is a 59-bed skilled nursing center that provides care in clinical and skilled nursing, inpatient physical and occupational therapies, and other specialized programs. Patients requiring clinical and skilled nursing care are offered a wide variety of services, such as IV therapy, wound care, post-surgical care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term, respite, hospice, and palliative care. Physical, occupational, and/or speech therapies are also available to patients, including post-stroke rehab, gait training, pain management, contracture management, cognitive training, swallowing impairments, and post-operative rehab for knee, shoulder, hip, back, etc., among others.
