As a Medical Assistant, I’ve discovered a profound sense of fulfillment in serving others, contributing to a compassionate healthcare environment, and continually expanding my skills and knowledge. My journey into the healthcare field began with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of science, human connection, and service, and becoming a Medical Assistant seemed like the perfect fit. However, like many aspiring healthcare professionals, I faced the challenge of gaining practical experience and training.The Trainee program at Colquitt Regional provided the ideal pathway for me to pursue my passion. Through this program, I was able to immerse myself in the dynamic world of healthcare while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship from seasoned professionals. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into a supportive community that encouraged my growth and development. I was one of the first to be a part of the Medical Assistant Trainee class, and I was one of the first to take the exam to become a Certified Medical Assistant and pass. I was the poster child for the program, but I couldn’t have done it without some great people who encouraged me.

Every day, I have the privilege of assisting physicians in delivering high-quality care, easing the concerns of patients and their families, and fostering a sense of comfort and trust.
